Distance: approx 140 miles
Tires: 50/50
Pavement/Dirt: 30/70
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Return Time: 4:00pm

Join us for Victoria and Jesse’s scenic adventure loop through VT & NH which includes 3 optional challenge sections for those who wish to partake. Heading NW into Vermont is our first challenge section of the day. From this northern-most point of the tour, the second challenge section awaits as we loop SW on a mix of graded gravel and winding paved roads. Then SE on mostly dirt roads through lush Vermont woods headed for Bradford and our last “challenge” opportunity.

Once the group is gathered again along the shore of beautiful Lake Morey, we head to our NH lunch destination, Loch Lyme Lodge. Voted “best lunch stop” of all last year’s guided tours, you’ll enjoy a sumptuous buffet overlooking very pretty Post Pond.

After lunch, it’s all a relaxing mix of paved and dirt roads bringing us to a fun, NH forest service road which was closed for years and is now part of NEBDR. A photo-op by a very picturesque pond and we head for an ice cream stop on the way home.

Easy bypasses of all the “challenge” sections mean that this tour can be two-up friendly but the 3 short “challenge” sections can test an experienced rider with semi-knobby tires, with loose rocks, sand, mud, and ledges (rocky step-downs).

Lakes Region Ride (Thurs - Sat) - $39.00

Distance: apprx 120 miles
Tires: 50/50
Pavement/Dirt: 40/60
Difficulty: Easy
Return Time: 3:00pm
*Passenger friendly ride

A very scenic ride through “On Golden Pond country” is about 120 miles, of which 60% is unpaved.

We’ll travel along winding shores of numerous lakes, past roaring brooks and over multiple mountains including the White Mountain National Forest, even including some sections of the NEBDR. (ride-arounds available)

You’ll enjoy a relaxed lunch at an absolutely unique spot, with spectacular views and food.

Then it’s an easy return via more gravel roads through woods and water crossings on our way back to the fairgrounds.

Our tour creator, Bill, regularly rides between Woodstock VT and his home on the Maine coast, so he knows this area intimately.

Ride to Canada! (Thurs - Sat) - $39.00

Distance: over 200 miles
Tires: 50/50
Pavement/Dirt: 30/70
Difficulty: Easy but long
Return Time: 5:00 PM
*Passengers are OK, although there is one short optional challenge section for the knobby-clad

Check one off your bucket list with this long scenic ride North to the Canadian border, led by Hampster creator and NEBDR co-author, Andrew Phillips.

It’s our longest 2020 tour, and takes advantage of the Northern location of our event headquarters.

You’ll ride gravel and secondary roads plus a few dual tracks all the way through remote northern Vermont to the Canadian border (photo op). Potential moose and bear sightings!

Our lunch restaurant is so close to the border that you can “see Canada from your house.” 😆

If you happen to bring your passport or EDL, you might get to cross the border and buy a few Cuban seegars or mail a postcard home.

Plan on a long day in the saddle; the challenge of this route is the distance and its remoteness. Be sure your bike is reliable and you have needed spares, water & snacks. Bikes must have a fuel range of at least 120 miles for participation here.
